PHOTO POST: tour through Scandinavian countries [PART 3] - RIGA

The earliest readers of our blog are probably the only ones who know that I went on a "Scandinavian" trip during the summer of 2011. Today I decided to finally finish off the series and post the last part of the trip.
You can have a look at the previous 2 parts: part 1 - stockholm (sweden) and part 2 - copenhagen (denmark).
The last part of the trip was a visit to Riga, the capital of Latvia, and a short stop at Yurmala, which is known as the town for music festivals.
Hope you enjoy the photos! :)

once again a gorgeous hotel room ^^

taking a walk to the old part of the city, the houses are so adorable - just like in a fairy tale! ^^

the Freedom Monument

the black cat is the symbol of Riga, just like you've got the bear as a symbol for Berlin :)

another tourist attraction - the Blackhead's House

a stunning view from the top of a church in the city centre

 gorgeous faรงades of embassy buildings

and the last few photos from the day before flying back home, a short trip to a nearby town Yurmala

just about 20min away from Riga by train and you're already at the beach :)) jumping with joy to that :D
